Mutilated notes of Myanmar as a record of history. The country was under military rule for decades and the world had boycotted the country. Government taxes were siphoned off by the Generals to the extent that they could not even afford to print banknotes. Torn, mutilated and taped notes were valid currency till 2010. Mutilated note that was sealed in plastic - that is how it was in circulation. To prevent pieces from falling off they were sealed in plastic pouches and used as legal tender.
